Opened in 1998 by Louisville residents Rob and Krista Castellino, Via Toscana continues our Tuscan family traditions in the heart of Louisville's rich Italian heritage. So, relax and enjoy, and return again and again - as family.
"It was beautful autumn day in Tuscany. My brothers and I ran through vineyards belonging to relatives who had chosen to remain in Italy. We helped press grapes and feed farm animals. Meanwhile my aunt (several times removed) was preparing the eight courses of a very special meal for family she had never before met - even a rabbit was surrendered for our visit. The meal was magical, as was all of my childhood time living in Northern Italy. The food was love, more than it was food. The meal, more than a meal, was a warm heart. The preparation of food, when from the heart, nourishes the soul, brings people together - creates joy.
